I have been seeing that phrase all over the blogging world. It seems that the holidays sucked us all in. And I think rightfully so. I needed a bit of a vacation! We lucked out at work by getting 2 – 5 day weekends for each holiday. They were nice vacations, but still a little on the short side. I had a great new years in Iowa. Great food, Great wine, Great people, Great pictures and Great football.

While I was in Iowa @ the Perdue’s, I got to spend a lot of time with Baby Barrett. He is 3 months old (this week, I think!) and super adorable. He slept so much, that about 1/2 of what I got was of him sleeping, but in the other 1/2, he was bright eyed and bushy tailed! He even started to get shy when he giggled which was super cute, but made taking those pictures more of a challenge. His parents said I could put pictures of him on here, which is exciting! Here are a few of my favorites of the little peanut…

Now I know why little old ladies pinch babies cheeks – they look so squeezable!

Look at those eyebrows! He just LOVED my lens. I think he was able to see himself in it, because he usually had such an inquisitive look to his face when I got close.

Isn’t he so cute? I hope they let me take some more of this little guy as he gets bigger! If you want to see more of what I’ve been up to, you can find me here:

I know I’ve already posted about that, but I have done just a bit of updating. And maybe there are some newbies that haven’t seen that post. Check it out 🙂

Aside from those pictures, I’ve also decided that this is a great time of year to try to do the 365 days of pictures. I am super pumped, and I just hope my year is exciting, so I have fun things to take pictures of each day. I suspect with my new(ish) photography business, a trip already planned to New Mexico in February (woo hoo!!!) and traveling with work, I will have SOMETHING to take pictures of 🙂

“Traveling with work, you say?” Why yes! This weekend I am going out to Phoenix to work at 2 different shows for work. DWF and Digital Imaging USA. I’m excited because I get to see some photographers I’ve always liked, and I also get to work at a booth, which I have so much fun at! Not to mention, I will be in Phoenix in January – and not in Minnesota. If all goes well, I hope I get to do more.

Anyone have suggestions of awesome things to see in Santa Fe, NM? Maybe things that are off the beaten path? What about Albuqurque, NM? I’ve been looking things up recently, but haven’t settled on what I am really invested in seeing. Georgia O’Keefe museum sounds lovely, as do wineries, but I would love suggestions/opinions if anyone has some!

Oh – and I’m sorry, Connie, I haven’t taken a photo of my new hair yet. I didn’t really have a ton of pictures taken of me over the weekend, I seemed to be the one behind the camera most. But soon, I promise 🙂

Have a lovely Thursday! Tomorrow is Friday which means almost the weekend, sun and a plane ride!
