As mentioned, last weekend I was in Iowa for the New Year. It was fantastic to see so much family and enjoy good food but as expected, incredibly hard. One thing that was nice was that the temp on December 31st reached an unbelievable record high of 53. Ah-mazing! Because of that, I closed out the year with a nap in my favorite orchard, enjoying a delicious beer and then snapping some photos of my dad’s favorite pup …

Roux was a good sport considering all of her pup treats were in the house and I only had old corn stalks and a downed fruit tree branch to entice and reward her.
